Our energy solution enables industries, Hotels and large estates in sub-Saharan Africa to decarbonize operations while still providing reliable and cost-effective power . In order to make smart investments, accurate modelling and future-proof solutions it is necessary to avoid stranded assets as technologies change and fossil fuels are phased out.
Our solution enables the incorporation of gas engines and batteries (ESS), the technology can combine the benefits of the rapid power dispatch response from batteries and the long-term low-carbon or renewable power available from a gas engine.
We use gas engines that are designed to take on intermittent loads by discharging or charging the ESS, and without the need to maintain sufficient rotating reserve to avoid power outage. In addition, significant savings in maintenance costs can be realized as the operating hours of the plant per kW output is significantly reduced.
